FOODTRIP(172): D'Kada Cafe and Bistro - Ayala Malls Marikina

When Ayala Malls Marikina opened last year, I 'm always looking for new restaurants that opened. Looking for a new place to eat a few weeks ago, I came across a newly opened restaurant at the first floor. Say hello to D'Kada Cafe & Bistro which is located at the GF of Ayala Malls Marikina.

D'Kada Cafe & Bistro specializes on pastries, baked goods and dishes with Filipino twist. I believe they have their 1st branch at Robinsons Metro East (D'Doux) which also specializes on pastries, baked goods and  American dishes.

What made this restaurant stand out from the rest is their interiors. The plant decors and homey ambiance were very welcoming the every customers that pass by their restaurant. Inside, as if I was transported to a different place and time.

They have the pastries and baked good area near the counter.

Staffs were very friendly, attentive and immediately attends to our needs.

Here's the MENU I grabbed from their Facebook page. (click to enlarge)

Here's what we ordered:

Ricotta Cheese Pesto (Php209)
Penne, Ricotta Cheese Pesto Sauce, Cream, Cajun Chicken Breast Slices, Parmesan Cheese

- I didn't expect this to be SOOOO GOOOOD! The Ricotta Cheese along with the perfectly cooked penne pasta is so perfect! The cheese wasn't empowering the taste of the dish but compliments well to the pesto. The 2 slices of bread (which I'm not sure of the name) was a great combination too as the the bread was new for me but really tasty. Servings were enough for me.

Green Salad Tocino (Php185)
Salad Greens, Pork Tocino, Kesong Puti, Tomato and Onion Cubes, With Asian Vinaigrette

- This heavenly good! Their Green Salad was fresh and crunchy. The taste of the Tocino adds a sweet taste to the salad. The Asian Vinaigrette is so addictive!

Crispy Pork Kare Kare (Php265) (with iced tea)
Crispy Fried Liempo Chops, Kare Kare Sauce, Bagoong, Assorted Veggies, Steamed Rice
- Their Kare Kare was indeed very crunchy though  I was looking for a more "salty" Bagoong.

By the way, also bought some of their pastries to try but just forgot the name. Also forgot to take a photo but it was also SO GOOD!!! No wonder we saw a lot of customers who ordered pastries when we dined there.

Overall, the experience dining here was PERFECT. The ambiance is really good as well as the dishes we ate. Price is reasonable and it's worth it! Quality is there and you get more than what you paid for. Really glad that they branch out in Marikina and will definitely come back as I want to try more of their pastries and coffee as well.
