That UNPLANNED trip last July 26-27 2021. Travelling nowadays isn't as convenient as it was before so planning to travel is a gamble whether it'll push thru or not. A few weeks prior, me and my friend decided to look for a nearby beach for a quick trip. Requirements was easy and booking was hassle free so we finally booked just 2 weeks prior. We thought that it wouldn't push thru since it was raining so hard for days already. It was even raining hard a day before. But we decided to push thru the plans and glad we did it! (Just before the lockdown again).
It was a sunny morning, at around 10am, we travelled using Waze via Cavitex going to Nasugbu, Batangas. This is my first time going to Batangas for a beach trip that is why I was so excited with this trip. They are known to have a lot of good beaches that is just 2-3 hours away from Manila.
REQUIREMENTS: (as of July 2021)
No travel requirements for Nasugbu Batangas. Kids under 5 y/o needs medical certificate. Senior citizens should be fully vaccinated. Car plate's number need to be coordinated with the resort. Printed booking confirmation is needed (although we didn't used it, not even on checkpoints). Valid ID for verification.
By the way, we went at this specific place since they require less travel requirements but take note that some beaches requires more requirements and has checkpoints.
HOW TO GO TO NASUGBU BATANGAS:
I honestly don't know how to commute going here especially now but we used a car going to Nasugbu, Batangas and used Waze. We travelled via Skyway - Cavitex - Kawit - Tanza - Naic - Maragondon - Ternate - Mt. Palay using Nasugbu Ternate Highway. Some parts doesn't have a signal so better be equipped.
CHECKPOINTS:
There were few checkpoints going to the place but they didn't check us.
STOPOVER.
Saw this specific spot a few km away from Kaybiang Tunnel. There was a store and we had to buy something so we stopped over here. The spot is really nice and the view is so pretty.
Met an old man in the area asking us if we want to see a cave or something. I immediately refused as I was afraid of talking to strangers, So after a few photos, we head back to the road. During night time, we talked about it and regrets that we refused his offer. It was a sunny and bright noon, we were thinking that the beach might be better at that area. (The next day, we decided to come back at the same place but there was a construction going on that specific area and we can't find a parking slot. Also, we weren't allowed at the other resort to go down since there were also huge waves that time. When we went home, I check the unnamed resorts in the google map and was that it was a LEGIT beach front resort!!! If you only know how we regret turning down his offer).
WHERE WE STAYED:
We arrived at around 1pm and check in at RSAM BEACH RESORT BY COCOTEL. It is a beach front resort with pool area, restaurant and parking.
We booked the Triple Deluxe Room that is good for 2-3 pax. Rate is Php3590 for 3 pax already. It includes, 1 queen sized bed, 1 single bed, private cr and cable tv. They provided us towels, 3 mugs, Each person has 2 huge pillows and 1 throw pillow. They also provided 1 pitcher and their a liquid bath soap in the cr. There were only 2 sockets in the room.
Breakfast is included for 3 pax. No wifi in the place. No Globe signal.
CHECK THEIR PAGE HERE: https://cocotel.com.ph/hotel.php
Check in: 2pm
Check out: 12nn
Since it was a Monday, there were some guests also in the resort. I think they are 1 group of family, around 6-8 pax. They are also other rooms for bigger groups in the resort. They also have enough parking space for those who will bring their cars.
WHERE TO EAT:
They have a restaurant inside so you won't need to worry about your food. We ate our late lunch here and also pre ordered our dinner. We got the meal set for 3-4 pax at around Php700-800/meal. And added some dishes for dinner. They give huge servings. You also bring your foods if you will rent their cabana. They have a corkage fee if you don't rent their cabana,
THE BEACH.
They have a gate going to the beach and it was closed since it was raining really hard few days prior and the waves were big, They allowed us for 10 minutes to see the beach no sitting or swimming. It was an order for all the resorts there.
The sand was golden - mix of brown and yellow sand.
So we went back to our room and decided to just chill and swim in the pool.
Had a night swimming then had our dinner inside the room, We slept at around 9pm and woke up 7am in the morning.
Good morning free breakfast at the resort.
Hoping to swim in the beach in the morning, we were disappointed to see that there were huge waves that morning. Anyway, had our breakfast in their dining area and decided to have a quick swim at their pool.
And yes, we got to see the beach again. Had few photos for the gram but no - we didn't swim. The waves were really huge but I don't even know how to swim.
We check out at 12nn. Had another STOP OVER at a viewing deck.
Then we decided to go to Tagaytay for a side trip. Went to Ruined Project at Crosswinds in Tagaytay for a late lunch.
Headed back to Manila afterward. Arrived in Manila at around 7pm.
It was an OKAY trip for me since I got to see the beach although a little sad that I didn't get a chance to swim in the beach itself. It's okay since the waves are really high, it was a windy day and no one really dares to try to swim inside the beach. Also it is the rainy season (July) so it is not really the best time for a beach trip. Although, happy that I got to see the sea again plus a nature trip. Hope that I got to visit the beach again next time. Hopefully this year. :)
