Baguio FOODTRIP(136): The Coffee Library

During the last day of my trip in Baguio, I got to chance to try one of the newest coffee shops in the area. For early lunch, we went at The Coffee Library located at the ground floor of Rex Hall Student Residences along General Luna St.

The Coffee Library is rustic themed cafe that offers Vietnamese and Italian coffee, Vietnamese cuisine and all-day breakfast.

The place is very spacious, relaxing and cozy. There were lots of wooden decors and bricks, as well a mini library decor on one side. They also have free wifi in the area which has a fast internet connection! YAY!👌

Here’s the menu for the restaurant: (click the photo to enlarge)

Here’s what we ordered:

Pho Bo (Php150)
(Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup)
“Rich-flavored Vietnamese noodle soup with tender slices of beef topped with spring onions, cilantro and sprouted beans with Sriratcha and Holsin sauce on the side”

- Very rich in flavor and I like the noodles used which was very tasty too. Perfect for the cold Baguio weather.

Nem (Php150)
(Fried Vietnamese Spring Rolls)
“Crispy fried Vietnamese rolls with ground pork, shrimp, wood ear muhroom and glass noodle served with Authentic Vietnamese dipping sauce”
- Crunchy thick rolls which is very tasty and rich in flavors.

Beef Tapa (Php150)
“Tender slices of beef marinated in vinegar and garlic, fried; served with garlic or plain rice, fried egg (sunny side up or scrambled) and fried banana and atchara for side”

- Their beef tapa has a sweet and salty taste which I loved. Servings were huge given the price.

Bacon and Omelette (Php130)
“Five strips of tasty bacon with two slices of loaf bread, omelette (mushroom, tomato, bell pepper, spring onions) and fried banana for side”
- The omelette was good though bacon was a bit hard to chew. Huge servings.

Cafe Latte (Php75)
- I love coffee and I love their own version of Cafe Latte. Not too bitter though I still have to add 1-2 scoops of sugar.

Overall, I had a nice and warm experience dining in here. Foods were good and place was really cozy. I also like that they free and fast wifi! Haha This cafe may look a bit intimidating outside but hey, prices were affordable and reasonable. Would love to come back here and try their Vietnamese coffee. :)
