Looking for place to chill and drink, my friends decided to try here at this newly opened branch of Applebee's located in Eastwood Citywalk.
Place is such an eye catcher since the brick designs of the place were appealing for a chill night. The place is suprisingly huge as when we came there, the staff assisted us to a bigger dining place inside.
Menu was handed to us upon seating. Since most of us were already full, we decided to try their alcoholic or happy hour drinks instead. Forgive me, but I forgot the names for this drinks :( But these happy hour drinks were priced for Php79/89?
- Servings were suprisingly huge and looks really good. Most of us were not really drinkers so we wasn't able to finish the drinks. :( Took me 1/4 of the drink and felt that blood came rushing to my face and palms already. Taste was okay for all of us.
Green Mango Shake?
- A bit sour for my taste.
Boneless Chicken Bites with Bleu Cheese dip (Php195)
- It was mix of salty and spicy chicken bites. most of us finds this very salty and yes I also did. But it really didn't matter to me since I really like salty ones. Haha
Fiesta Lime Chicken (Php395)
"Grilled chicken done fiesta-style with zesty lime sauce, Mexi-ranch and Jack-cheddar. Served with crisp tortilla strips, mexi-rice and freshly-made pico de gallo."
- This wasn't my dish but it was able to take a few bites. It really looks good as delish. The chicken was very soft, easy to chew and I can really taste the mix of everything. Yum!
Overall, I think the food served to us were good and satisfy. Since most of us wants that more affordable dish, I think we just find most of the dishes a bit pricey for our budget. Mind you, menu prices are subjected to tax and service charge. Good experience though :)

Say hello to this distinct coffee shop that I've been hearing about for the past few months. This coffee shop is located at Eastwood Mall, inside the Digital Walker, the Recession Coffee.
What's so different from this coffee shop is the free will to pay what how much you feel like. Nice right? So one Friday night, we went to dine here and see for ourselves what this coffee shop serves.
Since Recession Coffee is located inside Digital Walker, place design was techy, catchy but relaxed.
There were plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate customers, though I find the individual chairs a bit small for me.
Their famous menu on how-much-you-wanna-pay-for-your-coffee is located on their counter.
They have different option when it comes to prices (From 200 to 50).
Coffee menu seems good to me though I really don't have much idea of the differences of the coffee since they didn't provide any photos for references. (I guess that's just how this coffee shop works.. It's all about mystery on how tall you cup is or how your coffee looks like. Haha)
Btw, aside from coffee, they also serve different yummy pastries and cakes.
Anyway, after deciding what to order, Imma share with you now what we ordered.
Hot Flat White Coffee
Hot Latte Coffee
Iced Latte
Iced Cappuccino
- Honestly, though they all taste differently but I really can't explain how their individual taste was because it ALL TASTES YUMMY AND GOOD to me. Haha I mean, they all are good weather it was hot or cold. It's actually a good coffee were I know I'll badly crave for.
Love Wins (Php150)
- If you've read my reviews before, I always say that I'm not a fan or cakes or sweets because sweets are just not my fave. But hey, this is an exception. At first glance, I first thought, maybe this is something I wouldn't like because it looks so sweet. One bite, and the sweetness was just perfect for me. Took another bite and yeees.. it was the perfect cake paired with the coffee.
Matcha Brownie (Php85)
- I'm a matcha lover but I find matcha and brownie too sweet for my taste. - My friends did liked this btw.
Overall, we really had a nice time chilling out here. The place was good and staffs were very polite. Their coffee are definitely something I'll come back for (especially that I now work at Eastwood haha). A new coffee shop (especially for coffee addicts like me) that'll keep you excited and satisfied. Will definitely come back for another cup.

Say hello to another sushi stand along Lilac St., the Ta Ke Ho Me Sushi Stand. Been seeing their Facebook page on my feeds and can't help but to visit this place a few days ago.
Ta Ke Ho Me Sushi stands is located along Lilac St, specifically infront of Puregold supermarket. They serve different kind of sushi, rice balls, sushirito and sashimi at a very AFFORDABLE price.
Menu/Prices are already written on their counter area.
Place is a bit small, with few chair and tables.
Dining in is good since they have aircon inside but because it's really a take home-sushi-bar, we opted to just take out our orders instead. Anyway, after maybe 10 minutes, our sushi box was given to us.
Here's what we ordered:
24 pcs Sushi box for Php299 which consists of:
8 California Maki
- It was good but the mango included was so little that we barely taste it.
8 Migori
- I believe it claims to have a salmon but honestly, wasn't able to really taste it.
8 TKHM
- I think this one was the best among 3 sushi since it I like the taste of the rice, nori, cream cheese/mayo? and bonito flakes.
- The rice with all 3 sushi was very empowering that I can't really appreciate the taste of each sushi.
- The soy sauce was just okay too.
- I think they should add more flavor or seasoning for the rice as I rice really tastes like the normal rice we eat everyday. I was looking for a different or sushi taste with the rice.
Overall, all of us (we were 3) decided that Ta Ke Ho Me sushi stand is good but just lacks more flavor, specially that the taste of the rice is very empowering. For the value of money, yes it is very affordable. I hope they'll improve on the taste a bit and can't wait to get back here to try their other sushi flavors.
