Cosrx AC Collection Thoughts

For years, I've lived having an oily, acne-prone and sensitive type of skin. Having this kind of skin makes it hard for me to try new products. But glad that currently, I have a dry to normal skin - with some oiliness by the end of the day. Also, I noticed that I'm starting to have an oily t-zone area when I wake up in the morning. 

Today, I tried a new product line from the famous Korean brand Cosrx. Cosrx is known to have products that are more suited for acne prone skin. All though, I think most of their products can also be used by any skin types. 

A year ago, they released a new line of products which is the COSRX AC COLLECTION - which focuses more for acne prone skin. This line consists of 6 new products - Calming Foam Cleanser, Calming Liquid Mild, Lightweight Soothing Moisturizer., Blemish Spot Clearing Serum, Ultimate Spot Cream and Acne Patches. 

CALMING FOAM CLEANSER
Product Description: A cleansing foam that gently removes impurities, excess sebum and dead skin cell - leaving skin soothed, clearer and plumper. Hypoallergenic. 
Packaging: Comes with a box and the product comes in a tube.

Scent: Herbal scent. 
Consistency: Thick white cream. Foamy. Gentle on the skin
How to Use: Use pea-sized amount of cleanser then apply it on the whole face
My Thoughts: It produces soft lather foam which is very mild and doesn't irritate the skin. It gentle removes the makeup and gives a squeaky clean feeling. It helps to calm my irritated skin and makes the skin brighter. 

CALMING LIQUID MILD
Product Description: A mild daily essence liquid that exfoliates, moisturize and soothes the skin. Formulated with 85% green tea water, PHA, BHA and Cica extracts that soothes the skin and gently removes dead skin cells and sebum. 
Key Ingredients: Green tea water, Dimethyl Sulfone, Betaine Salicylate (BHA), Gluconolactone (PHA)

Consistency: Transparent and runny 
How to Use: You can use with a cotton pads or hands. Can also be used as a mist. 
My Thoughts: A mild toner that helps to soothe my troubled and irritated skin. I love how light and mild it is on the skin and skin feels smooth after use. 

LIGHTWEIGHT SOOTHING MOISTURIZER
Product Description: A lightweight facial moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and balanced. 
Packaging: Comes with a box and product is in a tube

Scent: Herbal scent 
Consistency: A little runny and the cream is light white 
How to Use: Apply the moisturizer on dry areas or whole face 
My Thoughts: I like that this moisturizer has just that right amount of moisture than my skin needed. It is very lightweight and easily absorbs by the skin. 

BLEMISH SPOT CLEARING SERUM 
Product Description: It soothes, refines and brightens the skin. to reduce hyper pigmentation. Contains 4% Niacinamide, Propolis extractr, natural NMF and CentellAC-RX to improve appearance of scars and blemishes. 
Packaging: Comes in a frosted bottle with a dropper.

Consistency: Runny clear serum 
How to Use: You can apply this on the whole face or areas with pimples
My Thoughts: I like that this serum is very lightweight and is not too moisturizing for my skin. I only apply the serum on my blemishes and red marks. It did easily lighten my current red marks. Still looking forward to really lighten or to fade away these marks. 

ULTIMATE SPOT CREAM
Product Description: Absorbs sebum while soothing the skin. It has Aloe Vera leaf extract and Cica to soothe and heal inflamed skin. 
Key Ingredients: Aloe Vera water, Zinc Oxide, Dimethyl sulfone, Calamine
Packaging: Comes with a box and in a tube

How to Use: Apply a thin layer on the area of concern in the morning. Can also be used at night. 
My Thoughts: I haven't really used this on pimples ('coz I haven't got one) but I apply this on the irritated areas/red areas/itchy on my skin. It helps to soothe these areas. 

ACNE PATCHES
Product Description: Oval shaped patches that absorbs sebum, protects and soothes the skin. Lightweight hydro colloid acne dressings absorb pus and create a protective barrier to shield wounds and inflammations from water, bacteria and dirt. Has Centella Asiatica. 
Key Ingredient: Hydrocolloid, Centella Asiatica
Packaging: Comes in with a plastic container. Comes in 3 oval shape sizes. 26 patches each.

How to Use: Clean the area then apply the patches 
My Thoughts: I haven't use this since I don't have any pimples at the moment but I heard this is used for more deeper pimples/acne. They stick to the skin and absorbs better than the normal ones.  

CURRENT SKIN:


I've only used this for 2 weeks with 3-4x of use in a week and these are only my FIRST IMPRESSION thoughts on these products. Will still continue to use these and will update you on the next months for my FINAL THOUGHTS especially if I'll have pimples in the future.
