Went to Pan De Amerikana in Marikina with Rina last January (2014).

Pan de Amerikana has been serving pandesal since 1950’s. They’re also famous for the giant pandesal priced for Php55 only! Though we weren’t able to try that one. They already have 4 branches around the Metro (Marikina, Katipunan, Greenhills and Makati). Nice right? We went to the Marikina branch (1st branch) since I also live in Marikina.

So here’s what we ordered:

They do actually have nice interiors around though I wasn’t able to take good photos at the place.

The place was really nice as well as the interiors. I can say that the food we ordered were average on my taste. The pasta I ordered was not quite tasty for me. Price was okay though. Maybe will try their famous pandesal once I get back here SOON :))

We’re almost half done with all of the foodies in Lilac St. Haha Anyway, we went to Mogu Tree Noodle House last week since I really wanted to try their noodle soup. I’ve read a lot of positive reviews from the internet/blogs but wasn’t able to try this one sooner because we were a little hesitant to try this before. (And I wasn’t really fond of eating noodles anyway)

The place was smaller than I thought. I really thought it was bigger in the photos I’ve been. But enough to accommodate 15 people I think. They still have a 2nd floor but not quite sure if it was open. Anyway, good thing there were only quite a few number of people eating since we were there around lunch/after lunch time.

Mogu Tree Noodle House is Chinese noodle house. It’s a D-I-Y noodle soup plus you can even choose your own toppings.

Menu here : **grabbed from http://www.zomato.com/manila/mogu-tree-concepcion-dos-marikina-city/menu#tabtop **

Here’s where you got to choose what noodles you want. I got the Fresh Egg Noodles since I like small/thin noodles.

Then you get to choose your own toppings. We only got 2 toppings (2 per toppings of choice). I got Mozzarella Cheese Ball and Sea Urchin Bun.

Then you get to choose which noodle soup you prefer, plain soup or laksa soup. Of course, we got laksa soup. (Since I’ve seen it on blogs and it really looks so yummy!) When we asked the lady seller what laksa soup is, she said the “gata” is added on our soup. Yum!

We waited for around 10 minutes for our noodle soup to be served. Noodle soup were served in a pot. Pot is really big enough for me. Really worth it for the price!

Here’s how our Laksa Noodle Soup looks like. They also added veggies to our soup.

As I mentioned earlier, I’m not fond of noodles but I likey likey their laksa noodle soup a lot. The egg noodles I got was a perfect combination for the laksa soup. And then Mozzarella Cheese toppings I got was so perfect since the cheese inside was melting. Yum yum!

We were really satisfied with the noodle soup we ate! Paid only Php 145 each for our Laksa Noodle Soup with 2 toppings. This is a really a must try when you go to Lilac St. Highly recommended!

After satisfying ourselves at Mogu Tree Noodle House, we went again at Teaza for milktea. (it’s just 2 foodies/shops away from Mogu Tree Noodle House).

I actually haven’t tried any other milktea they have besides Matcha milktea. And I always order Matcha Milktea with Popping Bobba which is really yummy for me! I like how the bobba pops while drinking my milktea. Anyway, I ordered Matcha Milktea with Rock Salt and Cheese this time. Really yum yum! I love how RSC it perfectly combines with the matcha milktea (not too sweet for me, since I’m really not fond of sweets). New fave milktea combi again at Teaza.

I must admit, when I got to the mall and see Peripera’s booth/stand in the department store, I really didn’t bother much to look/try on their products. But a few days ago, I’ve seen a good review on Peripera’s Water Tint/ Peri’s Tint. And I actually read a lot of good reviews on their product(s). Since I’ve been loving tints lately, might as well buy and try this one.

I know some SM stores sells Peripera products so before trying to buy this online, I tried to search first at malls since I knew it was sold cheaper in malls rather than online. But it was a big fail since I went to
SM Cubao and SM Megamall but Peripera’s Water Tint was always out of stock. So instead, I bought this one at an online shop in Instagram (@koreanaph).
@koreanaph sells a lot of korean beauty makeups and such. All are original and from korea. The seller was also very accomodating even though I was only buying one product from her. Very fast and smooth transanction. Was able to recieve my product 2 days after I pay (since she’s Cavite based and in Manila). She even gave me freebies/samples. Been eyeing a lot of her products to buy, but will still read reviews first before buying them. But will definitely buy again on her shop SOON.

Back to the product, Peripera is a line of korean cosmetics owned by Clio from Korea. One of the endorsers is NaEun from APink (Well, if you’re familiar with her). Peripera Water Tint comes with 5 shades.

I bought #2 Pink Juice since lately, I really wanted a pink tint. Packaging is really cute. I love how it’s packaging was designed by Mari Kim, one of the designer from 2NE1’s music video “Hate You”.

Description: Like juice, this water tint spreads upon lips with vivid colors. With a single touch perfectly dewy colors give an elegant look. Fruit Complex help give vitality to the lips.

Here’s how my lips looks like without any lipstick/lip tint or whatsoever. Just applied lip balm on my lips. So nude:

How I applied it : I put on some lipbalm first then apply the tint then put on lipbalm again to make my lips moist. This tint tends to dry my lips easily.

I love how it easily glides on my lips and how pigmented it is. You can dab 3-4 times and spread it easily. But since I wanted a full colored lips, I directly spread it with the applicator.

Nice pink shade :)

Pros:
- Cute packaging
- Easily glides/spreads
- Well pigmented
- Can be used for gradient lips
- 5 shades to choose from
Cons:
- Can easily make my lips dry (so make sure to apply some lip balm to make it a little moist)
- It taste bitter when applied but goes away after
- Usually out of stock in the department stores so you have to buy it online
- Make sure to handle/hold the bottle properly since the bottle can easily be spilled

OVERALL: Peri’s Tint is really nice and good for everyday use. Been using this for about a week now and I can say it’s really nice on my lips (just don’t forget to apply balm to make it moist). Wanna try other colors and other products from Peripera SOON ~

Been wanting to try one of the newest foodies in Lilac St. Marikina, the Manila Wings. Manila Wings serves burgers, fries, rice meals, chicken and more. It is located along Lilac St. in SSS Marikina.

The place has nice 80’s diner interior. Though I think they still lack more design to the place. The place is clean and enough to accommodate people.

Upon sitting, we were immediately given the menu. We actually have seen the menu before so I already have the idea of what to order. But was surprised to see that they already have added a lot to their menu. **Sorry wasn’t able to take a picture of their menu**

Food were served in 10 minutes, I think. So here’s what we ordered:

Manila Wings Rice Meal

I should have ordered this instead. Their own Manila Wings chicken was superb! Definitely delicious and a must try for me! Very tasty with a sweet taste. It’s like Bon Chon but not that sweet. I say, this a must try when you go visit Manila Wings.

Honey Chicken Rice Meal

This is what I actually ordered. It’s still yum for me with a taste of garlic. I thought this was the tasty one because it has a honey on it. But I really didn’t taste the honey instead so I just added a seasoning instead to make it more tasty for me.

Fries with Gravy and Cheese

Yum yum! I liked how the gravy with cheese blended when you eat the fries. Btw, I think they really use real fries ‘coz there’s still the skin of the fries on the sides.

For me, Manila Wings own recipe Chicken is a really must try. We even ordered extra rice for our meal! Try their 6pcs manila wings chicken! Haven’t pictured the menu, but I think this is a bit pricey for me just for a chicken meal/chicken wings/burgers etc. Honestly, I actually backed off the first time I saw their menu especially when I saw their burgers priced at Php200+ or a fries pricing at Php140+. Price not okay for me but food is definitely delicious.

After eating at Manila Wings, we went to Udderly Delicious Milkshakes and Desserts still at Lilac St.

Been craving for milkshake that day so tried their milkshake. Udderly Delicious Milkshakes serves different milkshakes and you can even make you own milkshakes.

Here how to do it: **grabbed from https://www.zomato.com/manila/udderly-delicious-milkshakes-and-desserts-concepcion-dos-marikina-city/menu#tabtop**

They also have their own milkshake menu that’s what we ordered. We got the Bubblegum Mallows Milkshake and Choco Banana Peanut butter Milkshake.

I like my own milkshake since Bubble gum flavor is one of my fave!

I loved how it perfectly combined with mallows and this no too sweet for me which I really liked. The Choco Banana Peanut butter was also good but didn’t liked it that much because it’s too sweet for me and I’m not really into sweets. But I think this will be delish for you if you’re a sweet tooth.

I didn’t liked much of their place because it was too gloomy for me. Though I liked the couch we sat on because it was really comfy with pillows on it.

Went to Picazza at Lilac Marikina a few months ago. They’re actually known to have a D-I-Y pizza around the area.

The place is really quite nice. There’s big black and white doodle mural and a big mirror across. The place is air conditioned and comfy enough to stay and eat.

Upon sitting, the menu, paper placemats and crayons were given to us. So while waiting for our order(s), we had time to doodle on the paper placemats that was given to us.

Took photo of their menu:

Here’s what we ordered:

Spaghetti Meatball (Php125)

Creamy Carbonara (Php120)

Cheesy Mushroom and Bacon Pizza (Php199)

Honestly, I didn’t like their pasta that much. It was okay but not that tasty nor creamy enough for me. But I liked their pizza a lot. It was thin and crusty. Yummy!! Such a nice place to eat and try!
