2018 has been a good chill year for me and I'm so much looking forward to 2019. I have a lot of plans for this blog, Youtube and of course my career and life. Starting the year fresh, bringing a positive attitude, I'm so looking forward to achieving all the goals I have. I'm a type of person who list things down, to remind myself of the things I needed and wanted to do. Been doing this for years but I must admit, starting these baby steps can be a struggle for me at first.
Will all the stress we're facing in our daily lives, sometimes we forgot to think and reflect on ourselves. What are my goals? What do I really want? How to achieve it? During my rest days, I make sure to think and ponder on these thoughts to help me remind myself of what and how I want to live my life.
This year, one of my goals is to TRAVEL more, reflect and bring back IDEAS and DREAMS in life. One thing, I LOVE to do is to WRITE. I remembered, discovering my love for writing when I was in Grade 2. I started writing short stories about different people. Until the influence of anime and cartoons which helped me push to write more stories when I was in Grade 5 and 6. In high school, I started my first personal blog (Friendster days) which also became an outlet for my ideas.
I was in my high school, when I first saw the kiosk of Zen Zest in the mall nearby and I got curious. My aunt and sister were the one buying these scents as they were affordable and locally available. I remembered their old tiny bottles and I got to use these scents for most of my high school days.
Fast forward to 2019, glad that they are now one of the household names when it comes to fragrance and scents here in the Philippines. They actually provide top-quality and locally-manufactured products at an affordable price. They now offer different products ranging from Body Care, Personal Scents, and Home Ambience products.
Today, I got a chance to try 2 of their scents from the Eau De Toilette series.
EDT TANGERINE 50ML (Php130)
- I totally love the mix of orange, melon and citrus scent of this. It smells fresh and light. Perfect for day time or summer scent.
EDT CORAL 50ML (Php230)
- This one smells more fruity, sweet and flowery. Perfect for that night time scent.
Scents are really powerful when it comes to our daily lives. I believe that scents helps us to reflect, think better and decide what we want in our day. It really gives us this positive outlook we needed. Lotions are a MUST for me. I have an oily type of skin but my body skin is super dry that's why lotion will always be part of my body skin routine. A few weeks ago, I got a chance to try a new Korean lotion from the brand Aestura.
Medi Beauty Aestura provides a solution to accomplish healthy beauty based on reliable dermatology experience. With it's unique technology developed through accumulated experiences, they became the optimal products available for all concerns of the skin.
Aestura Atobarrier365 Lotionis a moisturizing silky lotion that helps to keep the skin barrier firm. It has ceramides to provide deep moisture to the skin and also had DERMAON + Phytosphingosine that helps to provide the skin protection from external harmful factors. It also has a soft application feeling for whole body moisturizing care.
It is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic and even recommended for sensitive type of skin.
It comes in a white and blue box. The product itself comes in a plastic sturdy pump bottle. The color of the lotion is white and consistency is a little watery and light but still intact.
How to use: Take out proper amount to apply it to the area that needs moisturizing. Then apply gently from the inside to the outside of the face along the skin texture. Finish by tapping lightly to absorb into the skin. (I believe this can be used for the face and the body but I prefer to use this for my body).
Pros:
- Very moisturizing
- Easily absorbed by the skin
- Soft and smooth skin
- Feels light and non sticky
- Skin is moisturized for about 3-4 hours
- Can be used for the face and body
- A little goes a long way
Cons:
- Pricey
Been using this lotion everyday and I love how it made my skin moisturized without the icky feeling. Plus, it also helps to protect my skin thus avoiding having a dry skin which is what I need. It can be a little pricey but let's see what this product can do. Will be making another review once I finish the bottle so better watch out for that.

Using soap or even facial wash alone can't thoroughly clean the face. Cleansing water is a must for me. Recently, I discovered a new Korean facial cleanser which I used for a week.
Aestura Atobarrier365 Cleansing Water is a moisturizing cleansing water formulated with low-irritant ingredients. It helps to make your skin soft and moist with that light, fresh texture.
The product comes in a sturdy transparent plastic bottle.
The cleansing water is in transparent color and no scent. It is mostly recommended for dry and sensitive skin type but I prefer this type of cleansing water that feels like a water. There is a just small amount of moisture that I don't actually feel after that's why I prefer this type of cleansing water. (*Reminded me of the Micellar Water).
Price: ₱1,390 for 365g
You can use a cotton pad to moisten then wipe gently on your skin. It can immediately removes makeup and impurities in just 1-2 swipes.

- I was looking for an everyday eyebrow pencil and daw this. I got the gray brown shade which the darkest one and just perfect for my hair color. I love how pigmented and easily to use this eyebrow pencil is. It is truly slim and kind of fragile.
- ONE OF THE BEST BUYS EVER! First of all, the packaging looks really nice. I think this is a collaboration with Yoon In-Na (korean actress from K-dram Goblin). The formula is so creamy and has a matte finish. It actually reminded of the Sunnie Fluffmattes here though this one is a bit pricey for a lipstick. Will be making a separate review on this lippie.
- For this haul, I made sure to get an anti-acne treatment products such as this. This is a spot solution kit that contains sanitizing pads, spot extractor, spot hydro colloid bands and spot calming ampoule that is used to treat pimples. I don't have any pimples as of the moment but will definitely try this when on comes out. Will also be making a review on this one.
- As said above, I'm looking for spot treatment products and saw this under their new arrivals. I haven't heard the brand but I noticed that gel type patches is starting to become known and so I wanted to try one for myself. Instead of a sticker patch, you can use on your pimples on top of the makeup since this one is so thin.
- One of my holy grail acne treatment is the Cosrx pimple patch and I must ALWAYS stock on this product. I haven't tried this clear fit one and so let's see if this one is better than the original.
- Since my skin is now normal to dry (due to Isotretinoin/Acnotin pills), my nose area becomes so rough because of the black and white heads. I'm planning to use this on my nose area and let's see if it helps to remove stubborn black and white heads.
- Bought this one since I find this very AFFORDABLE for a 500ml lotion. It's so soothing and moisturizing and I love the rose scent. It's not the typical rose scent but much lighter and the scent really lasts long!
- I use sponge as a foundation/concealer applicator since it can evenly apply my makeup. My old sponge applicator is so used already so I badly needed a new one. Let's see if this one is good.
- I don't usually wear eye makeup but I wanted to practice so I'm slowly buying brushes for the eyes. Also, since I'm doing lip product swatches, I needed a lip brush for a precise finish so I bought this one.
