My Beach Essentials / Review

Being a girl who doesn't wanna get tan, sunblocks are really a must especially when exposed to the sun.

Recently went to the beach and bought some of my beach essentials which I'll sharing with you today. Not a really a beach person since I don't wanna get tan. Yes, I'm maarte and all but whenever I go the beach, I make sure to gear up starting with my rashguard to protect my body and arms from sun. Then comes my umbrella just in case I walk from one area to another. And most especially, I pack all the sunblock I can to protect me from the harmful UV rays.

When I went to the beach last month, I made sure to bring with me my top 3 beach/sunblock essentials starting with this:
***SPF means the level of sun protection. At first, I thought SPF means minutes of protection from the sun but I WAS SOOO WRONG. Haha Thanks to sis Daryl for pointing this out :)

1. Beach Hut Lotion Max 100++ SPF
Product Info: "Experience extreme high spf protection without the messy and oily feel like other lotion sunblocks. Beach Hut Max 100++ is super light on skin, quick drying and non messy."

Packaging: Comes in green, orange and blue container bottle
Price: Around Php500
Volume: 100ml
Scent: Mild floral scent
How To Use: Apply generously to all areas 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at frequent intervals specially after swimming, rigorous activities or towel drying.

What I Think About The Product: First of all, what attracted me into buying this sunblock is the SPF it contains. It comes with a high SPF 100 which I rarely see on most of the sunblocks. It maybe a bit sticky on the skin at first but it's not that heavy in the skin. I was able to use this during my 1st beach trip last June and 2nd this July. No sunburns or tan for me at all. I shared this with some friends and yes, they get tanned but their skin's not that prickly compared to regular sunburns without sunblock. So good job!

2. QuickFx Sun Block
Product Info: "Benefits: Ultra light, fast absorbing sunblock with broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection, helps protect against the damaging effects of the sun. With Niacinamide, Zinc Oxode, Lotus flower, BSASM, Herb Extracts."

Packaging: Comes in a small and handy sachet with a cap
Price: Php99
Weight: 10g
Scent: Floral scent
How To Use: Take an appropriate amount onto the palm of hand and blend into skin in circular motions. Use as the last step in skincare routine. May be applied under makeup or worn alone. Apply liberally 15 mins before sun exposure. Reapply as needed.

What I Think About The Product: I use this sunblock for my face only. What I like about this one is that is feels light and non greasy at all. It very handy since it comes in a small sachet. It also packed with skincare benefits to which I liked.
For pros, some people may consider this expensive for 10g of product priced Php99. It also doesn't cover any thing as to what the product description says.

3. Fracora Placenta UV Whitening Spray
Product Info: "This spray contains placenta and hyaluronic acid, providing whitening, moisturization and an ultraviolet block (SPF 50+/PA+++). It can be used for daily skin care and for leisure time too. It's spray design means you use it for your entire body, including your hair or even after make up. Non - sticky and waterproof but easily removed with soap."

Packaging: Comes in a sealed bottle spray
Price: Php1200 at Cheska's Store
Weight: 60g
Scent: Mild neutral scent
How To Use: Shake bottle before use, spray onto hand first and use to apply to face. If you want to maintain it's effects, re apply every 2-3 hours."

What I Think About The Product: First of all, I really really liked this pink packaging and how it perfectly fits on my beach bag. I also liked that the application was easy and convenient as you have to spray the product directly on the area where you wanna cover. It is also not sticky which is a yes for me. I also read that this product can also be used for the face but didn't knew that until I read it after we went to the beach. Haha But yea, you can also use this one for the face. And last but not the least, not only this is a sunblock or anti UV rays but this can also be used as a whitening spray at the same time. Nice right?

Video review on my Youtube channel below:

*** All 3 products are highly effective against the harmful UV rays. I know some of you might notice that I didn't stayed under the sun for that long and as much as possible I even used an umbrella to protect me from the sun. But I asked my guy friends to try the Beach Hut and Fracora UV Whitening spray as they stayed under the sun for longer. They actually went to swim at around 10am and 12nn while the sun was really up at that time. They stayed there for about 30 minutes and surprsingly, they weren't that tanned. Yes they were but not much. Do you get what I mean? Haha Also according to them, the sunburn wasn't that prickly as compared to not using a sunblock at all. So yes, I think the Beach Hut sunblock and Fracora UV Whitening spray are highly effective against the sun. While the Quick Fx Sunblock was good for me. The consistency was very light and easily spreads on my face. I also like that it is very affordable.

Overall, these 3 products are highly recommended sunblocks for me :) I haven't tried other sunblocks except these so if you have tried other sunblocks too, you can share or comment down below. :)
