Marikina is now one the best
places to visit especially when you wanna have food trips. There are now lots
of food trucks opening and glad that I was able to visit The Truck Park which
is opened just last December 2016.
Situated
at the famous Gil Fernando St. (Back of Blue Wave Mall), The Truck Park really catches everyone’s eye as they
feature huge colorful artworks that one wouldn’t miss.
Place is spacious, clean and well maintained. They have parking space and even security guards outside.
**Pls
take note that The Truck Park has now a cashless payment system. Please read
below for instructions:
For today’s review, I’ll be featuring one of their best food stalls, Mangkok by Soups & Spoon which serves authentic Asian cuisine. According to them, their best sellers are Laksa and Tomyum.
Their
food stall is very simple and straight to the point. Also, their kitchen is
very tidy, clean and well maintained.
So now let’s begin. To order, one can choose to pick 4 toppings
of their choice on the counter.
All the toppings are covered in a transparent wrap to maintain its freshness. There are 14 toppings to choose from.
After
that, you will choose the noodles you want for your soup. The flour noodles are recommended for Laksa soup while the rice noodles
are for Tomyum.
One
can see how their soup is made since their kitchen is open for everyone to see.
They usually serve the soup in front of their customers for it is best to served when hot.
Laksa with 4 toppings (Php219)
- One of the best laksa I’ve tried since this one’s creamy and tasty. The noodles were soft and well cooked. Btw, their laksa has a neutral taste which isn’t spicy. Customers can choose to add a chili paste if they want a spicy one. My friend like this as is while I added a bit of chili for a kick and I like it a lot! My fave toppings are their Cheese Roe!! Yuuuum! Servings were huge given the price.

Tomyum with 4 toppings (Php209)
- It looked spicy but it’s not. Again, one can choose to add a chili paste if you want it to be spicy. The tomyum has a taste that reminds us of sinigang in a different way. The vegetables were crunchy and fresh. My friend liked this better than the laksa. Servings were also huge.

Iced Tea
Overall, we really had a great time trying their laksa and
tomyum. For laksa lovers, yes I would definitely recommend trying out their
laksa soup when you visit The Truck Park as well as their Tomyum. Not only
that, they also have Shabu Shabu that is good for sharing with your family and
friends. Would love to come back here soon! :) Mangkok by Soups & Spoon is located at The Truck Park Marikina.
Thanks again Mangkok
by Soups & Spoon as well as Ms. Dianne and their staffs.
