Last February 2024, we went to Baguio City for a 3d2n trip. If you've been following my blog/Youtube, you might notice that I have that yearly Baguio trip since 2016. I was planning to go back again last 2020 but pandemic happened. It's been 5 years since I last visited Baguio that is why I am so excited for my trip this 2024.
I miss the cold weather, food and laid back life in Baguio. I always go back during different months in Baguio because I wanted to experience a difference in weather.
Seollem Cafe is one of the newest Korean cafe in Baguio. It is known of its aesthetic Korean feels cafe in Baguio. It feels like you are transported in Korea.
We came here for lunch during out 2nd day in Baguio. The place is a little far from the city - 10-15 minute drive. Landmark is a huge K-Mart outside. Once in the area, you'll immediately be transported into a Kdrama vibe. The place is quiet and there are also a lot of Koreans around.
The food we ordered are a little expensive (given that we are in Baguio - the price seems like in Manila). The food was good. The ambiance of the place is nice.
It is just that it feels like expectation vs reality for me. But overall, this is a nice place to visit especially when you want to chill or chat with your friends.

Since I first went to Ili-Likha Artist Village in 2018, I always come back to this place. Located at Assumption Road near Session Road this place opened in 2014. It is like a large tree house built with recyclable materials such as scrap materials, bottles, glass, cement, wood, trees, etc. made by the owner, film director and writer, and National Artist, Eric de Guia, also known as Kidlat Tahimik.
Upon entering, you may think of this tree house like a maze. There are a lot tiny spaces going to different area inside. I like the artsy concept and at the same time, a homey ambiance to this place.
You'll really enjoy exploring the place as very corner of this tree house tells a different story. Since I first came here in 2018, there are now a lot of new areas and new foodie spots to explore.
Today, we ate at Little Milkyway which serves vegan food. The serving was huge and the food was really delish! Here's what we ordered:
Mexshroom Burger Php170 and Tokwa't Kabute Rice Meal Php 180
We also had a Coconut coffee at Little Burrow. I forgot the exact name of the coffee but it is basically a coffee with a coconut. It was surprisingly so good.
Overall, this place will always be my go-to place whenever I go to Baguio. I recommend you also visit this place. Worth a try.

Just 2 hours away from Baguio, the NORTHERN BLOSSOM FLOWER FARM has become a popular destination among travelers. It is known for having a majestic picturesque place up in the mountains of Atok, Benguet.
During my 2nd day in Baguio, we decided to travel there. We initially planned to go there early in the morning but was too tired to wake up early. It is recommended to visit the place at early in the morning because of the view is much better when the sunrise face the mountains of blossoming flowers. The ticket fare was Php200-250/each. I forgot the exact fare.
Anyway, at 12nn we went at Dangwa Terminal in Baguio and the van is the only mode of transportation available that time. It took us an hour in the van before it started the trip. They didn't even opened the aircon 'til before the trip started 10 minutes prior. It was so hot inside the van and it was draining me. It was zigzag road going to Atok and that really made me so dizzy. Good thing that I bought my Poy-sian which helped me a lot with the motion sickness. Nevertheless, the view going to Atok is amazing.
Arrived at around 3pm. We paid Php250/each for the ticket plus Php50 environmental fee. A mini orientation was done at the entrance with tips from the guide. Upon entering, you can immediately see the beauty of the flowers and mountain. The place is really wonderful!
There is no time limit inside the garden but it was stated that once you exited the garden, you cannot go back again inside. So you really have to make the most of out your stay inside. There are resting area/chairs inside just in case you get tired.
At the end of the trip, you can get your free coffee and snacks at their cafeteria.
Since we came in the late afternoon, exploring the place for 2 hours was honestly not enough. The garden is really huge! I was pressured by wanting to explore the whole place, taking photos at every corner and at the same time just appreciating the place. Also, I was already tired from the heat if waiting inside the van and the trip itself going to Atok. We don't want to stay late at the place too since we will still go back in Baguio and it'll be dark on the way.
Our trip ended at around 5pm. You need to walk for about 5 minutes to get to the van terminal near the police station. We were the last passengers for that trip and we sat at the back end. Imagine having motion sickness again and being so dizzy to the point that I really want to vomit. Really glad for my Poysian though. It was around 7-8pm when we came back in Baguio. The trip was really tiring to be honest.
Honestly, the place is like an expectation vs reality for me. Don't get me wrong. The mountain, garden, flower and skies are amazing. Maybe some places are good on the photos instead. Maybe it wasn't the bloom season too. Or maybe because we went there at the wrong time -I was so tired from the trip and also tired of walking since the garden is really huge. There wasn't enough time to sit and just enjoy the nature since again, we are in a hurry to explore everything.
We didn't know that there is an accommodation at the place. Maybe next time will do that. I also want to experience going there in the early morning for that sea of clouds and ray of sunrise. I also want to just appreciate the place, not in a hurry and just enjoy the nature without the worry of time.
I am planning to go back in Baguio again maybe this year or next year but I won't go here again anytime soon. We were just in a 3d2n trip and it took us almost half day for this side trip which was really draining. It is a good experience to visit here - maybe I'll come back again if ever I'll have more time to explore Baguio.

Baguio City, located in the province of Benguet, is known to have a coolly climate because of its geography. It’s basically located in the northern part of the Philippines, up in mountains of Benguet.
Since I've been to Baguio for a lot of times already, I am kind of familiar now with some of the places. For accommodation, I prefer renting a cheap place like transient house since most of the time we'll be out and won't stay that long in the rented place. Although, now it is tricky to find a cheap and safe transient so I prefer to comeback to the place we rented before (2018).
This is the PINE VIEW TRANSIENT HOUSE located at Balacbac in Baguio - near Marcos Highway. I chose to come back here since the place is like a home, complete with amenities plus the VIEW!
If you will commute, you can ask the driver to drop you off at Balacbac near Tita Lea's.
Usual check in time is at 12nn. We arrived at around 6am in Baguio, had our breakfast and had a hard time walking since our bags are really heavy. I pmed the owner was so kind enough to allow us for an early check in. (They also allowed us to check in early in 2018). Please take note that we came on a Sunday morning plus it is not peak season.
The room we initially booked was Unit F (good for 2pax) but was surprised to get an "upgrade" to my preferred unit, UNIT B. This was also the unit that I rented in 2018 since we were a group of 3 that time.
UNIT B is good for 8-10 pax. This place has 2 rooms (1 facing the balcony and the other one is inside without the windows).
It also has kitchen, refrigerator, complete utensils, heating pot, mugs, sala set, TV with Netflix, CR with heater, electric fan and free WIFI for the whole unit. The wifi is exclusive for the unit.
There is also my FAVE BALCONY area in the common area. There is also one balcony in one of the rooms. The view here is so amazing! You can see a sea clouds in the sunrise when you wake up early or see a a lot of stars at night.
In 2018, I chose the balcony room since it has the best Baguio view! But surprisingly, we opt to sleep at the other room because it was so cold in the balcony room. Also, we want a dark room to sleep at night.
I really love this place because it is so quiet and peaceful. You can just chill out at balcony and look at the view.
By the way, here are some my fave balcony photos.
During the last day of our stay, we asked them if we can extend for about 4 hours since we were planning to roam before going back in Manila and it is a hassle to bring around our huge travel bags. They were kind enough to leave or things in the room and come back to get our things at around 3pm. The place is safe so no worries.
Current rates (as of February 2024):
1-2 pax (1,500/night)
Check in at 12nn, check out at 11am.
You can check out my VLOG here:
By the way, they have a parking area in the transient. For commuters like us, the place is accessible to taxis just in front of the house. Or you can walk going to the Marcos Highway for about 2-3 minutes if there are no taxis around. Place is just 10-15 minutes away from the city. Taxi fares usually ranges from Php100-120 only (no traffic).
For 3d2n, this place has been our home in Baguio City. This unit is really homey and I like that we have the whole unit/place to ourselves. Definitely recommended.
