Some of you may be a first timer taking a glutathione or even hesitant to take one so I listed some questions and answers which might be helpful for you.
1. What is a Glutathione?
- According to the information I got online, "Glutathione is a substance produced naturally by liver. It is the major anti-oxidant produced by the body and our immune system depends in a steady supply if glutathione." In short, one can take an oral glutathione to boost his/her immune system.
2. What is the recommended dosage of Glutathione?
- I can’t claim anything to this but I’ve watch a documentary on Youtube saying that the recommended dosage for glutathione is 500mg. According to them, more than 500mg is considered overdose. Though some claims that the recommended intake depends on your body weight. Personally, I only take 1capsule a day to be sure.
3. How many capsules of Glutathione should I take in a day?
- It is recommended to take 1-2 capsule a day depending on your body weight. There is a computation for that and can the clearly be explained on the links mentioned.
4. Why is there a need to take Vitamin C while taking Glutathione?
- This is to enhance or boost glutathione levels on the blood that why one must take more Vitamin C than the glutathione. But just to be sure again, I only take 1 tablet of Kokando Vita White. Though it is recommended to take 3 capsule of Kokando Vita White a day.
5. Would oral glutathione harm my liver or kidneys since it'll filter everything I intake?
- According to my research, there is no study if oral glutathione really affects the liver or kidneys. I saw one or two articles stating that IV glutathione does more damage to the kidneys. Also, read that the higher glutathione content, the greater the liver's capacity to detoxify harmful chemicals.
6. Is it effective?
- As mentioned, it’s only been a year since I started trying oral glutathione for reviews. So far, I think every glutathione I’ve took were effective for me though they differ in how long did it effect on me. The reactions or effects differ depending on the current skin tone and body weight.
7. Why it’s taking me too long to see the effects?
- Please take note of the following:
Duration of intake of skin whitening:
*Medium Brown Skin: 1-3 months
*Dark Brown Skin: 3-6 months
*Very Dark Skin: 6-12 months
*Black Skin: 2 years or more
*Once a person has acquired her desired color, the maintenance dose will just be 500mg once a day.
I do apologize for the very long informational introduction so let’s get started with the review.
The capsule is in color white and 1 box includes 30 capsules which are good for 30 days.
Price: Php1600 at Rosy Glow Davao
Taste: None
Scent: None
How To Use:
You can take 1 capsule a day or as directed
Review:
- As of writing, I’m already done with taking 1 box or 30 capsules.
- I’m not particular of the time but I usually take this at NIGHT or before I go to sleep. I take it with or without meals.
Pros:
- Noticeably creamy white glow on the skin
- Less pimple breakout
- Lightens my blemishes faster
- Has a lot of ingredients (health benefits)
- No taste or after taste
- No breakouts or allergies
- No diarrhea or change of bowel movement
- Didn't lose appetite (this is good thing for me since I don't like losing weight)
Cons:
- A bit pricey
- Didn't helped to trim down fats on my tummy
After trying out 1 box of Bellatrix Glutathione + Collagen Supplement, I like that it gave my skin a creamy white glow plus helped to prevent pimple breakouts. I noticed that my pimples are drying up faster while using this plus made the blemishes lighten. Since the product claims to make you slimmer, I like that it didn't make slim (since I'm already slim/thin/needs to gain weight instead! haha). So far, I like how this product helped my skin during the time I took this capsules. Though based on my experience, it really takes more than 1 box or 30 capsules to see the full effects of glutathione or collagen on the skin so I recommend continuous intake of these.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
ON MIRACLE TONER: The toner has a minty scent and very mild on the skin. Consistency is watery but feels moisturized on the skin upon applying the toner. I noticed that it made my skin soft, smooth and moisturized especially in the morning. This toner has that right amount of moisturize that every skin types will truly love. Though at times, my skin feels a little greasy when I wake up in the morning after I use this toner at night. I like how soft, supple and moisturized my skin is in the morning, I prefer using this at NIGHT ONLY since I have and oily skin. I tried using this toner in the morning but I noticed that my skin became oily-er. I only use this in the morning when I'm at home or not going out.
ON MIRACLE SOAP: The soap is very mild and I usually use this in the morning and at night together with the Miracle Toner. I cut the soap in to small parts to maximize the use. I like that the soap doesn't dissolve easily so I still have more than half of bar in a month of use.
ON H7 HYDROMAX CREAM: Since I already have an oily skin and I personally avoid using moisturizers, I like this one is very mild and a little goes a long way. I only use this a night and usually the last part of my skincare routine. Sometimes I use this in the morning when I'm on my rest day. I find this cream very hydrating on the skin and makes my skin soft and supple.
THOUGHTS ON ALL THE PRODUCTS:
1st week - It really made my skin soft, smooth and supple. I noticed that the emerging pimples started to dry up fast. No new pimples that week.
2nd week - It helped some of the blemishes fade though I experienced small pimple breakout or purging. There were tiny bumps with whitish heads that easily fades in 1-2 days. I also noticed superficial red spots on my forehead that I NEVER experienced. I didn't bother so much since I thought it was purging and still continued to use the set. Also, I noticed that I had less blackheads now so I thought that the product helped to get of my blackheads which is one of my skin problems.
3rd week - I noticed that the pimple on the cheek that was supposedly drying up already became excessively huge! There was A HUGE BUMP with PUS the day after that. I also noticed 3 tiny bumps with a pus on my nose area, one bump with a pus near the eyebrow, more red spots on my forehead, 2 pimples near my hair line and small pimple with a pus on my chin. Then I knew I was having a bad breakouts. I immediately STOPPED using all of these and went back to my old skincare routine.
Imagine having a good skin for days then suddenly a BAD SKIN right after a few weeks of use. I really felt bad for risking my skin to Korean skincare again. I first tried Korean skincare/products in 2016 and I remembered having a lot of breakouts in a month. I also thought that it was purging or maybe hormonal breakouts but then when I stopped using Korean skincare, the breakouts also stopped. I'm not blaming Some My Mi or any Korean products because this is just how my skin reacts. I have an oily, acne prone and sensitive skin to begin with and I noticed that Korean skincare products tends to have a moisturizing effects on the skin plus I think their products are really suited for colder weather/climate. Also, I noticed that my skin likes more "harsh" products rather than the milder ones.
I know that this product has A LOT OF POSITIVE RESULTS but sadly, I think it's really not for me. It's already my 2nd time using or trying a Korean skincare routine and I experienced BAD BREAKOUTS both times. :(
I'm not saying that this product would not/would work for you but I'm just stating my experience here.
***For now, I'm recovering from this breakout and still looking products that would help my skin. Since I used this kit for straight 3 weeks (for the sake of review), I'm planning to give it a TRY to use this along with my current skincare products just to see if it'll work out.
