Blemishes are one of my huge problems besides having a monthly pimple breakouts. These pimple marks lasts for months before it completely fades out but due to pimple breakouts, my life now is just circling back and forth. Haha So I’m really looking for great whitening creams, serums, etc to help my blemishes fade faster.

Glad that I was able to discover Lumice Whitening Oil Serum which came from the famous brand/company Utena. and I was able to try this for my blemishes, elbows and knees for about 2 months thus sharing my thoughts today.

Product Info: Lumice Whitening Oil Serum is a beauty serum (Made in Japan) that contains oil-soluble Vitamin C plus moisture rich Jojoba oil, Vitamin A, E, and Squalene which quickly absorbs the skin. It target dark spots and freckles and makes the skin surface moisturized, supple and soft to touch. Btw, this product can also be used for the body, hand and nail.

Packaging: Comes in a blue box packaging. The serum itself comes in a blue-plastic-mini-sturdy-bottle.

Weight: 30ml

Price: Php700 at Cheska’s Store

Consistency: Oil/serum type

How To Use:

Use every morning and/or night as the last step of skin care. Warm 2-3 drops of product in the palm of your hands and gently massage into skin.

Result: (click the photo to enlarge)

- I do have an oily skin so I’m only using this on my face 2-3x a week and preferably before I sleep at night for 2 months.
- I use this serum on my elbow and knees 2x a day

Watch my video review on my Youtube Channel below:

Pros:
- Whitens/lightens some of my blemishes, elbow and knees
- Moisturizing and hydrating on the skin
- Handy packaging
- Can be used under a makeup
- Recommended for dry skin

Cons:
- If used on the face or as a part of skincare routine, not recommended for oily type of skin
- A bit pricey for some

Verdict: After more than a month of using this product, I am impressed on how it easily lightens my blemishes compared to when I’m not using one. I also noticed a difference on the tone of my elbows and legs so I find the product very promising. My fave also became moisturized and soft especially in the morning. I do have an oily skin so I prefer using this 2-3x a week at bedtime. Also, I see myself using this along with my fave clay mask for that effective and efficient skin care. Though I think this product is more suitable for dry skin.

Using a whitening soap is one of the most affordable way to lighten the skin. I’ve already tried few whitening soaps for the past years and I believe that these soaps are effective if you use it regularly.

I know some of you might ask or even judge me on why I still use whitening soaps where in fact, I’m already fair. Again, I have an uneven skin tone (my face is lighter than my body) and I’m still in the process of trying to make my body tone even with my face by looking/trying for products to help me whiten faster.

I was already out of stock on my old whitening soaps when Cheska’s Store sent me this Ishigaki Premium White Soap last December 2016. I immediately use tried it and finally done with half a bar in more than 1 month.

Some of you maybe familiar with this brand since Ishigaki is famous for their oral glutathione capsules. I’ve read lots of positive feedbacks about their gluta caps and glad they also have a whitening soap for those who doesn’t like taking capsules.

Product Info: Ishigaki Premium White Soap is a whitening, moisturizing and anti-aging in 1 soap. It lightens the skin as well as fights pimple and acne. It claims to reverse signs of aging, maintain skin suppleness and reduce wrinkles. It also improves the appearance of skin blemishes and begins whitening your skin in just one week.

Key ingredients:
*Glutathione - Master antioxidant; may help restore young look; educes the production of melanin to give you a whiter skin
*Collagen - Anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, smoothens and firms the skin; Helps prevent moisture loss and increase skin elasticity, giving you a younger, healthier and radiant looking skin
*Alpha Arbutin - Helps lighten dark skin and get rid of uneven color, pigmentation, blemishes and melasma spots; More superior when it comes to skin whitening than beta arbutin and it’s definitely more stable
*Pure Virgin Coconut Oil - Acts as moisturizer for skin and hair, treats acne, skin firming.

Packaging: The soap comes in this blue box. Soap is in white color.

Weight: 150g

Price: Php120 (+free sf at Cheska’s Store)

How To Use: Lather soap and apply to treatment areas. Leave on soap up to 1 minute. Applt once per day and increase twice a day if well tolerated. If dryness occurs follow with moisturizing cream.
**TIP: To maximize the soap, I usually cut the bar into 2 (I do this to ALL of my soaps). ½ bar lasts for 4-5weeks for me in a 1-2x a day of use.

Results:
- So I was able to use ½ bar for more than a month

Watch my video review on my Youtube Channel below:

Pros:
- Noticeable whitening effects in a month of use
- Doesn’t melt easily
- Affordable given the price and effectivity of the product
- Super sulit! Just ½ bar of soap lasts for 4-5 weeks for me

Cons:
- Can be a bit drying to the skin
- Not recommended for dry skin
- Available online

Verdict: After more than a month of using this product, I can say that I am SATISFIED with the noticeable whitening effects it gave me. Most of all, I find this bar of whitening soap affordable and worth it since I was only able to consume ½ of bar in 4-5 weeks. I can still use the other half of the bar for another month meaning, I can maximize the use of the soap. Super sulit and definitely recommended :)
**Pls take note that this review is based on my experience. For some skin tones, continuous use is a must to be able to notice a difference on the skin. :)

Finally back with another food trip posts starting with a food spot at Lilac Street. But first of all, I would like to apologize for the lack of food posts since I’ve been busy with.. Life.. And I’ve been focusing a lot on beauty stuff. But soon, I’ll be back with usual food posts so watch out for that. :)

So a few weeks ago, I decided to visit Lilac St again since there are now a lot of new restaurants to try. Visited Uncle Sam’s Diner since I’ve been passing this place a lot but never tried. It’s actually located in front of Puregold Lilac and on the 2nd floor (landmark: Mercury Store).

Uncle Sam’s Diner specializes on the best juicy lucy burgers, pasta, steaks and milkshakes.

Place was good, spacious and clean. Though I think interiors were a bit simple and I was looking for that diner feels.

It was a pay as you order basis so we went up to the cashier to order and pay. Waiting time for our orders were not good. We had to wait for 20-30 mins before our orders came. We were so bored that so we turned our attention instead to the television. The staffs were so loud and I can’t hear the sound from the tv. As in super chika sila na nasasapawan na nila ung malakas na volume ng tv!!!

Menu below:

Here’s what we ordered:

Bacon Mushroom York 1/3 Pound (Php160)
“Bun, bacon, caramelized onion, lettuce, cheese sauce, juicy lucy patty”

Uncle Sam’s Ultimate 1/3 Pound with fries and drinks (Php260)
“Bun, lettuce, caramelized onions, tomatoes, bacon, egg, juicy lucy patty”

- Serving size were okay but the taste of both burgers were disappointing. Burgers lacked its juiciness and flavor. The patties were dry and bland. :(

Cookies and Dreams (Php129)
“Cookies and cream milkshake, oreo cookies”

- Definitely milky and delicious! Not doubt on their milkshakes as it was really good.

Overall, the experience dining in at Uncle Sam’s was okay. I think they should improve on their burgers and maybe train their staffs on etiquette. Milkshakes are recommended.
