Last February 2025, we went on a 3D2N trip to Baguio City—yes, again! If you’ve been following my blog or YouTube, you probably know by now that my yearly Baguio tradition started way back in 2016. I had plans to return in 2020, but the pandemic put those on hold. I finally made it back for my birthday last year, and of course, I couldn’t resist going again this year!
I really miss the cold weather, the food, and the laid-back lifestyle in Baguio. One of the reasons I keep coming back is to experience how the city feels during different months—each visit brings a unique vibe, especially with the changing weather. It’s like rediscovering Baguio all over again every time.
On our first day—which also happened to be my birthday—we visited the Mirador Heritage & Eco Park. It’s perched on one of the highest hills in Baguio, offering a stunning view of the city. I’d seen this place online many times, especially the famous Bamboo Garden, and had been wanting to visit during last year’s trip but didn’t get the chance. So this time, I made sure to finally make it happen.
Mirador Heritage & Eco Park spans 9 hectares and features various sections and attractions. It’s a vast area that definitely requires a good amount of walking to explore.
There is an entrance fee of Php100. You can also see here the map inside.
If you're planning to visit, I recommend asking to be dropped off at the upper entrance. We were dropped off at the lower part, so we had to hike our way up—which can be pretty tiring. Comfortable shoes are a must since there’s a lot of walking, with plenty of uphill and downhill paths. Set aside at least three hours for your visit, as the place is quite expansive. Also, don’t forget to bring mosquito repellent—some areas, like the Bamboo Garden, can have quite a few mosquitoes.
We started our visit at the Bamboo Garden located at the lower part of the park and made our way up. The Bamboo Garden is serene and very relaxing, with plenty of picturesque spots perfect for photos. However, one downside was the number of mosquitoes in the area, which made it a bit uncomfortable to linger for too long.
Next, we made our way up to the Rock Garden formation, which has some great spots to sit, relax, and take in the surroundings. The path from the Bamboo Garden to the Rock Garden was an uphill walk, so it felt nice to rest here and simply enjoy the view of the houses below—it was a peaceful and calming moment.
We climbed a bit higher towards the side of the hill and were rewarded with a majestic view. It was calm, peaceful, and truly a beautiful spot to just take everything in.
From there, we continued walking toward the upper hill, where we were greeted by another majestic view. This spot offered an even more breathtaking panorama—you could see wider hills and distant mountains stretching across the horizon.
We finally reached the Mirador Gate—the iconic red gate at the top of the park. There were quite a few people lined up to take photos, but I waited until the crowd cleared before snapping mine. By then, the clouds had already rolled in and covered the beautiful backdrop, but no worries—I still got the shot!
Overall, Mirador Heritage & Eco Park is a wonderful place to come back to—perfect for unwinding and enjoying a peaceful stroll. It’s definitely a must-visit when you're in Baguio.
