I've been using sunscreen base for quite sometime now especially that I do get A LOT of sun exposure in a day. Lately, I've been using "Angkas" as the mode of my transportation thus having a longer time under the sun. I have an acne prone skin and lots of red marks from my previous breakouts and been using different whitening products to lighten those marks. Sunscreen are a MUST for me to help protect my skin.
Today, I'll share with you the current sunscreen that I've been using. These are the Biore Oil Control UV Covering Base & Bright Up UV Covering Base which are 2 NEW products that were recently launched here in the Philippines.
Biore Oil Control UV Covering Base
Product description: This is an oil-controlling sunscreen that has SPF50 PA+++ which protects the skin from the UVB rays that may cause sunburn, dark spots and freckles. It also acts as a makeup base that helps conceals pores, absorbs sebum helps to prevent your makeup from wearing off.
Recommended for: Oily skin
Biore Bright Up UV Covering Base
Product Description: It is a brightening sunscreen that also has SPF50 PA+++ which protects the skin from the UVB rays that may cause sunburn, dark spots and freckles. It acts a base makeup that makes the skin more radiant and glowy. It conceals the pores and gives a smooth finish. It contains brightening Pearl formula to make the skin brighter and more radiant.
Recommended for: Dull skin
Packaging: Both products comes with a box. The product itself comes in a silver squeeze type tube with black cap.
Shade: Only 1 shade available. Light beige tone (Oil control) and Pink beige tone (Bright up)
Texture: Sheer tinted gel that is easily absorbed by the skin with no sticky feels
Finish: Soft matte
Weight: 30g
Price: Php435
My Thoughts:
Biore Oil Control UV Covering Base - It is very lightweight with minimal moisturizing content on it so I only put small amount (3-4 pea sized for the whole face). It has a beige tone which easily adapts to my current tone. Love how it helps to fill in the pores and helps to make the foundation/bb cream stay longer.
Biore Bright Up UV Covering Base - It has pink tone and truly makes the skin brighter, radiant and glowy. Although, I find this cream more moisturizing than the Oil control one.
I like combining both creams with a ratio of 1:3 (1 pea sized amount of the Bright up and 3 pea sized amount of the Oil control) for a better result.
