A few weeks ago, I got to visit Black88, one of the
newest restaurants in the famous Maginhawa Street in Quezon City.
If you’ve been to Maginhawa Street, I
bet you already know the famous Wings Gone
Wild stall in one the food trucks in Maginhawa. Black88 is another creation
by the same makers of Wings Gone Wild so expect that they have their famous
wings sold in the place as well as, they now serve more variety of foods such
as burger and pizza.
Place is very unique, catchy and pumped
with industrialized designs all over the place.
One can choose to dine in the aircon area or the non – aircon area
outside.

Burger (Php200)

- The quarter pounder beef patty taste
perfectly good, unique and thick. I think the charcoal bun along with the lettuce,
tomatoes, cheddar and mozzarella is a good combination as the taste is very
smoky and grilled. Also, mind you that they give GENEROUS amount of cheese on
each order. Yay for cheese lovers like me J
Beef
Salpicao (Php240)

-Spicy, tasty and good. If you’re
looking for a good rice meal with that spicy kick aside then this is it. It was
a good tasty meal except that the meat/beat was a bit hard to chew (not sure if
it’s out fault because we had to take photos first so we didn’t ate it right
after it was served).
Spinach
Artichoke (Php380)

-Unique pizza with a twist. This
Spinach Artichoke is very creamy, milky and sweet. Yea, you heard it right. It
is actually perfectly paired with their homemade spiced honey which makes add
up to the sweet taste of the pizza. According to my friend, when paired up with
the spiced honey, this one tastes like a waffle/pancake but better. Also, I
like that dough used was very thick and creamy as well. It is actually a good
combination with their burger or rice meals.
Black88 Bacon & Wedges
(Php180)
-Their wedges were perfectly cooked as
the potato was soft with a spicy taste on the side. While the bacon was crunchy
and yummy. It’s definitely one of those food that one would really love to
munch in. It was perfect although we just find it a bit pricey given the
amount.
Overall, we had a great time dining in
here. Place was comfy and foods served were definitely great. Good place to
dine with family and friends. Feel free to visit them at Maginhawa Street
