Won’t do much intro about this breakfast restaurant since I
have already blogged about this twice :)
This time here’s what we ordered:
Brother’s Tapa (Ph130)served with rice (garlic/steamed),
2 eggs (scrambled or sunny side up), homemade atsara, slice of tomato with
pesto on top and home-made vinegar on the side
Crispy Adobo Flakes (Chicken/Pork) (Php145) served with
rice (garlic/steamed), 2 eggs (scrambled or sunny side up), homemade atsara,
slice of tomato with pesto on top and home-made vinegar on the side
Waffles (Blueberry/Strawberry syrup)
I can say that I totally recommend their TAPA a lot!I have already tasted
the other tapa they have and BOTH are really delish! It was also my first
time to try their waffles and I also recommend this to try.
Good food and value for your money :)

If you follow me on Instagram(@iamnicolefaller) or
Facebook or follow this blog over the years, you’ll notice that I ALWAYS change/dye
my hair A LOT of
times. But the color is somehow the same for each and every dye I use.
Here’s abackground/my hair historyI blogged a few
months ago:
The last hair color I had was from Hortaleza’s Light
Intense Ash Blonde that wasn’t that ashy at all. It was more orange –
brown that turned into that ugly brassy orange after 3-4 months.
Since 3-4 months already have passed, black roots were
already seen. Since my hair is still dry and damaged from constant
changing of hair color for years, I’ve been looking for a dye that won’t do
much damage on my hair. Researched a lot then came across this bubble/foam
dye from Schwarzkopf.It’s Schwarzkopf
Freshlight in Berry Ashsince I’ve been dyeing to really have an ashy toned hair.
When I decided to go for this dye and color, I searched
around to look for this over drugstores and supermarkets but it wasn’t
easy to find. Saw and bought this one at Landmark
in Trinoma.
“Try out this Freshlight Foam range. Its rich mousse texture
soaks into hair quickly for beautiful colour result. Its shampoo-look allows
you to apply it easily. Moisturizing hair deeply, it makes your hair supple,
soft and smooth. Glossy shine is also provided after colour Treatment with silk
extract.”
ChooseBerry Ash. One box is sold forPhp599and bought 2 boxes
since my hair is already long. I find it a bit expensive but I took the risk
of buying this since it read a lot of positive reviews on this one. Php 1,200
just for a hair dye.
But anyway, here’s the lovely box of Schwarzkopf
Freshlight in Berry Ash.
I wasn’t able to take a photo of what’s inside the box but
I took a video instead.
What’s inside the box:
1. Pump
2. Developer
3. Hair color
4. Instruction Leaflet
5. After dye treatment
6. Gloves
Safety Precautions:
Instructions here:
My hair is so long that I bought 2 boxes. I was quite
surprised that 1 box was already enough for my bra length hair. I used the
2ndbox to retouch
roots/hair parts that wasn’t evenly colored on my first application.
Though I wasn’t able to evenly spread the dye on my 2ndattempt, resulting to
uneven hair especially at the back part. There was still some roots that I
missed. I know that my hair was already damaged from previous hair color over
the years. I was amazed that the dye didn’t do much damage compared to other brands/dye
I have used. My hair looks damaged and dry but if you touch it, it still feels
soft.
The after dye treatment that was included on the package
was really a LOT! And it also helped conditioned my hair.
Here’s the result:(Before & After)
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Ash toned hair achieved on the first day I dyed my hair!
Color was more likegrayish – greenish
tonewhich I really like
since the brassiness was toned down. I also loved it since it made my hair darker
in a nice ash tone.Ash toned hair
achieved!
What I didn’t liked about this oneis that my hair
wasn’t evenly colored since I used petroleum jelly at some parts of my
face and neck. And my hair was a bit oily that time since I wasn’t able to
wash my hair for already a day. I had a hard time waiting for the dye to process
on some parts. So some parts of my hair end up not changing at all.
Also the 2ndbox was supposed
to retouch those parts I missed on the first application but I wasn’t able
to check my hair very well. I was only able to saw that some parts of my hair
still lacks dye at the end part of the application. Well, yes my fault. I
totally recommend for an assistance to check the hair color on you.
AFTER 2 WEEKS:
I’m already on my 1 ½-2 weeks after I dye my hair and I
noticed thatit fades away really
fast.
Read from reviews that this dye is long lasting compared to other brands
so I was a bit disappointed when I compared the photo just right after I
dyed my hair and my recent hair. Just right after I dye my hair, I was
wowed on how ashy my hair was especially the end parts. But after a few
washes, I noticed that the end parts of my hair fades into light brown rather
than ash. Yes, my hair is still a bit darker than my previous shade but I worry
that it might just come back to my previous hair color. Hopefully it won’t turn
brassy on next few weeks/months.
COMPARISON:
Hello to a newly opened foodies at
Lilac Street in Marikina, The Grill Grub! Place is located at the GF of Benni II Bldg (just along
Breakfast Brothers).
The free drinks quite
attracted us and since we wanted to try something new, we dined at their
place.
Upon entering, we were warmly greeted
by their friendly servers and gave us the menu. I also found out that they
just opened a month ago so they’re currently on soft opening. They were
kind enough to accommodate us especially when we ask questions about their
menu.
By the way, the place was small,
cozy and I immediately noticed the Marvel and other retro tin can posters
designed on the place. There were also Evangelion stuffs displayed
near the counter.
Food was served for about 15-20
minutes since they said that their dishes was still to be grilled. So while
waiting, I was able to take photo of the place. :)
Here’s what we ordered:
Grilled Tapa (with salsa) Php 180(?)
Chicken BBQ (with salsa and bbq
sauce) Php 165 (?)
Mashed Potato (P40)
Iced Tea (free)
I was really wowed on how BIG the
serving for was. 2 pcs of chicken bbq was more than enough for me. Their
rice was kinda different in a good way since it is very tender and cooked
well. The best one to try is their mashed potato they said was also
grilled. You can actually taste the combination of the potato, milk and
butter smoothly melting on your mouth.
Btw, they have promo which is free
drinks for every meal they have. You can choose from Iced Tea, Calamansi
or Cucumber Calamansi. Their iced tea is like Raspberry and it tastesreally good!
I would really like to commend their
servers as they were really kind and very accommodating to us. They were
always checking on us and asking if the food(s) tastes good.
Over all, I had a nice experience
dining here. Recommended to try at Lilac Street. :)

Since last year, I’ve already been fond of using lip tints
because I think it is more long lasting compared to lipsticks or lip creams.
Korean tints are now a trend and one of the most popular beauty items. I’ve
already tried few tints from popular brands namely: Etude House Dear Darling Tint #2, The Face Shop’s My Lips Eat
Cherry and Peri Pera Peri’s
Tint Water. This time, I’ll try Tony
Moly Delight #1 Cherry Pink Lip Tint which I bought for Php 198 only!
Been reading a lot of positive reviews on this one so I bought this
tint.
It says:
Lip tint with 98% of moisture base.
Botanical oil prevents from drying and keeps moisture on lips.
3 vivid colors / No benzophenone, no talc / Fresh and sweet
fruit scent.
Major ingredients: Rose hip oil, Jojoba oil, Argan oil
They actually have 3 nice shades to choose from: (1) Cherry Pink
(2) Red and (3) Orange Cha Cha. This is
time I bought Tony Moly’s Tony Tint Delight in #1 Cherry Pink.
Packaging: Packaging is
really nice, simple and cute. I find it really adorable that it‘s applicator’s
handle is heart shaped. Packaging also contains 10ml of the product. Though I
can’t read what’s at the back part of the tint.
Shades/Swatches: I chose (1)
Cherry Pink since I like red pink tones rather than red tones. I
really wanna try the orange one but they didn’t have stock at that time?
Anyway, the color is well pigmented. Though this one’s a little bit hard to
remove so it’s really long lasting.
Consistency: Between jelly and water type. I like it because
you
only need just a few dab of the tint on your lips and voila! It’s also
very easy to glide on the lips.
Smell: It has a nice fruity smell.
Price: Bought at an affordable price of Php198 ONLY! Cheapest
lip tint bought! :)
Longevity: It can last up to 6-8 hours without retouching (with a bit
eating
and drinking) for me.
More Photos when used:
Pros:
- Cheaper than other Korean brands /
Very
Affordable (Php198)
- Long
lasting (can last up to 6-8 hours)
- Easy to
use / glides easily
- Cute
packaging / nicely fits on your “kikay kit”
- Vibrant
pink red tint color
Cons:
- Tony Moly
branches are limited. Bought this at Tony Moly Eastwood branch and I
find it kinda hassle to go the place just to buy this. Hopefully they’ll
have more branches near my place :)
Overall, I like this lip tint a lot and might settle for this
tint for a while.
