As you all know, my skin is NOW way better compared to last year. I have an acne prone, oily and sensitive skin and I had a major breakouts last year. Good thing, my skin is now almost clear, no pimples at all but I had A LOT of red marks and blemishes. I'm still looking for products to help lighten those marks so I've been trying out different products lately.

Today, I will share with you NEW local skincare product that I've been using for more than 2 months now. This is the Latisha Niacinamide Vitamin B3 5% Serum that helps brighten the skin and evens out the skin tone. It also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and even hydrates the skin.

Other benefits: Makes the skin firm and healthy. Retain skin moisture.  Minimizes pore appearance. Regulates oil production. Protects from sun damage. Treats hyperpigmentation. Treats acne.

Key Ingredients:
Niacinamide
Hyaluronic Acid
Glycerin
Aloe Vera

INGREDIENTS: Deionized Water, Cetyl Steryl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Monostearate, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract, Helianthus Anuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol Acetate, Phenoxyethanol

Packaging: Comes in with a box. The product itself comes in a medicine-like bottle with pump

Weight: 60ml Price: ₱750

Scent: Smells like freshly cut grass

Texture/Consistency: The serum is in color white and the texture is runny and feels like water.

Can niacinamide be combined with other skin care ingredients for maximum effect?
Niacinamide may be used alongside other active ingredients for optimal results. For example, some reports suggest that supplemental niacinamide may work well alongside copper, folic acid, and zinc to treat acne. You may be able to get more out of your niacinamide serum by using it alongside hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is said to increase product absorption.

What results can you expect?
When used topically every day, niacinamide will have a positive impact on your overall skin health. The ingredient can help reduce inflammation and hyperpigmentation, smooth your overall skin texture, and brighten your skin. It can take several weeks to see noticeable improvement, so it’s important to be patient and to stick with your routine.

How To Use:
Apply small amount and use your finger tips to apply the serum on your face and neck. You can use a moisturizer after. Don't forget to use a sunscreen at daytime. Can be used daily and under makeup.

I only this at NIGHT TIME, 2-3x a week since I'm using different serum at night. I only apply the serum on the red marks/blemishes (not the whole face).

Result: (1 month of use)

My Thoughts:
I love that this serum is not like the typical oily type serum as this one is more lightweight is easily absorbed by the skin. When it comes to packaging, the bottle may seem a bit bulky for me as I prefer smaller serum bottles. Price point is good (Php750/bottle) given that that amount of serum is 60ml. A little goes a long way for this serum. For my blemishes, it DID lighten my new blemishes although it doesn't do much on the old blemishes. I think this product will work better when used immediately on a emerging or drying pimple. What I didn't like was the scent as it has this freshly cut grass smell plus a weird scent once applied on the skin. I hope they'll have smaller version of this or more catchy packaging. Overall, it was an okay product for me.

My work requires me to use a computer for 8-16 hours a day and my eyes really feels tired most of the time. Honestly, I haven't paid that much attention to my eyes since I'm too busy and I just want to sleep most of the time. Who doesn't? A few weeks ago, I came across a NEW eye mask which I'm too curious to try. The packaging seems appealing so I was so excited to try it!

This is the Steambase Daily Eye Mask from Korea. It provides moisture to dry eyes and skin that uses a steam of thermal water that has similar effects to that of a hot spring bath. They uses the Onyang Hot Spring Water for the steam and the warmth promotes blood circulation. You can use this when you have a tired eyes, short break, after using computer or smart phone for a long time, stress-related insomnia, before going to bed, basically you can use this anytime and anywhere.

It comes in a box with the eye masks inside. Each masks have their own individual packaging with different design depending on the aroma/scent.

It's literally an eye mask (Goggle-type design) wherein you can attach it to the ears for support. It also has a "Block-shaped heating unit" that delivers hear evenly.

Weight : 98g / 74g Price: ₱480 (Click HERE for direct link)

Each box contains 5 pieces of eye masks. Although mine comes with 6 kinds of soft aromas for more comfortable relaxation.
01 Silent Night Air - fragrance of the calm night time air
02 Grapefruit Tree - soft grapefruit fragrance
03 Rose Garden - soft rose fragrance delivered by a spring breeze
04 Chamomile Crown - sweet chamomile fragrance places on the king's crown
05 Lavender Blue Water - fragrance of fresh lavender flowers and a quiet lake
06 Untitle - unscented

How to Use:

1 Open the pouch take out the eye mask and open it up following the dotted line on the ear-hook parts attached to the back.

2 The white surface should be places on the skin around the eyes, while the side with deeper indent should go around the nose. After hooking the ear-hook parts around your ears, take a rest in a comfortable position while keeping your eyes closed.

3 After opening, the eye mask inflates and a heat/steam is felt afterwards. This provides a thermal massage to the eyes and even the skin. The temperature reaches up to 40 degree Celsius for about 20 minutes.

My Thoughts:
After opening the mask, it immediately heated up and the mask inflates. The temperature it gives is a little too hot for my eyes so I only use it for 2-3 minutes. It also reminded me of the Mediheally heat pads that I use during my period although the heat of this eye mask only lasts for about 20 minutes or so. I like that it relaxes and soothes my eyes especially at night time. The scent is very relaxing and calming. Not only this mask can be used on the eyes, I can also use this for muscle pain. Yes, the heat it gives relaxes stiff and painful muscle pain. Would I recommend this? I would if you want to try. The price is kind of expensive for me.

What I like about my skin now: I get to try DIFFERENT skincare products in a month without the worry of breakouts! Yay! I'm skin way better compared to last year. Although I still have LOTS of red marks and dry patches, I'm HAPPIER since I don't experience breakouts nor pimples anymore. Now I'm looking for products that would hopefully help fade my dark spots and give back the glow on my skin.

Today, I'll share with you a toner that I got to try for more than 2 weeks. This would be my initial review and will update you after a few more months on my final review.

Bonajour is a Korean brand that provides different natural skincare products at a reasonable price. One of their products is the Eggplant Daily BHA Toner which washes away impurities, dead skin cell and sebum for that clear and fine skin. It has pH 5.5  which set ups the balance on the skin and also soothes troubled skin. It contains 95% nature-originated ingredients.

Key ingredients:
84.43% Eggplant extract ("LUPEOL" - anti trouble, for clear and fine skin)
0.5% salicylic acid (removes dead cells on skin and sebum in pores to make your skin soft and clean)

Ingredients: Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Lupeol, Salicylic Acid, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Melaleuca Ericifolia Leaf Oil, Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Polyglyceryl-5 Oleate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Water, Arginine,Citric Acid
in.

Packaging: Love the white paper sealed box. The product comes in a transparent plastic bottle and purple liquid/toner. I know it may look like an eggplant toner and yes, this product contains "LUPEOL" which is contained in the eggplant that gives a solution for clear and fine skin.

It also comes with a FREE Kicho cotton pads.

Weight: 200ml

Price: ₱1,070 (Click HERE for direct link)

Texture: It feels like water, non sticky and easily absorbed the skin.

Scent: Smells a little like alcohol and perfume

How to Use:
1. Put the toner on the cotton pads, wipe on your skin, and gently tap to let it be absorbed. If you have sensitive skin, use this less often (3x a week).
2. Soak cotton pads with the toner to use as a soothing toner pack to remove a lot of dead skin cells.

My Thoughts:
I'm so picky when it comes to trying toner and this is definitely an exception. I love how the toner feels so light, soothing and made my skin brighter It provides just the RIGHT AMOUNT of hydration on my skin while still keeping it fresh and light. It's not too moisturizing that's why my skin really LOVES this! It also helps to control the oil on my t-zone area and keeps my makeup less oily all through out the day. I highly recommend this for oily to normal type of skin.

By the way, I only use this in the morning as it really hot and humid in the Philippines and I think my skin needs more of this toner in the morning compared at night. Although, you can also use this at night.
