Having an acne prone skin and monthly breakouts are hard as these leaves blemishes on the skin for months. If you follow this blog or my You tube channel, I always mention that I don't have a perfect skin. One of the things that bother me for years are blemishes (acne marks). These blemishes are so red that sometimes, it looks like pimples when seen for a far. For years, I've been looking for products that would help me lighten my blemishes faster.
A few months ago, I was so glad to try new Belo Essentials products that helped fade my blemishes. Belo Intensive Whitening Micropeeling Tonerhas the power of Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid and micropeeling technology that gently clears away dead skin without visible peeling and flaking. It exfoliates the skin to allow the whitening actives to penetrate deeper. It also reduces the appearance of stubborn dark spots and eliminated impurities, dirt and make up residue. They claim that the it will make the skin thoroughly fairer and smoother in just 7 days.
Active Ingredients:
*Kojic Acid - an organic compound that prevents melanin production and minimizes pigmentation from the source.
*Tranexamic Acid - an amino acid derivative that inhibits inflammation and reduces the appearance of stubborn dark spots that do not respond to other skin lightening ingredients.
Packaging comes in a tiny orange bottle for 60ml (Php79.75). It is handy, simple and information are can be clearly read. While the product itself comes in light orange, watery consistency.
Scent is a bit fruity which is okay for me.
How to Use:Apply to face and neck with cotton. Avoid eye area. Use morning and evening. Maximum effectiveness with continued use.
For me, I usually use this immediately after cleansing my face. It helps to remove makeup and makes my skin soft and supple after use. Not sure if you can this everyday but I only use this 3-4x a week, every night. I focus on the blemishes and not the whole face since I already have a whiter facial skin tone (compared to my body tone).
Next, I also use the Belo Intensive Whitening Face and Neck Cream on the last part of my skincare routine. This is moisture-rich face and neck cream with the powerful combination of Kojic Acid (prevents melanin production) and Tranexamic Acid (inhibits inflammation) that intensively whitens the skin. It has SPF 30 to protect against the harmful UVA and UVB rays.
The packaging comes in a sturdy tub with an orange and white box. It comes with a transparent spatula. Price is Php 249. 75 for 50g.
The cream is in color white and consistency feels very rich and creamy. Though it feels very light on the skin, moisturizing and can be easily absorbed. 3 pea sized cream is enough for my whole face. The scent is smells like milk.
How to Use: Use daily after cleansing and toning. Scoop the desired amount using the spatula and gently massage onto the face and neck. Can be used twice a day.
Since I have an oily skin, I prefer adding this skincare product on my night time routine 2-3x a week. I focus more on the area with blemishes and also on my neck.
USING BOTH PRODUCTS:
I've been using this for 1-2 months now, and I liked how it really helped to slowly lighten my blemishes. The toner helped remove the makeup or residue from my face after cleansing. At first, I was really hesitant to use this on my face because I thought it would be too harsh. But this toner is very mild on the skin and no tingling sensation, no redness or drying out of the skin.
While the cream helps to make my skin, soft and supple especially in the morning. I do recommend daily use of this for dry to normal skin though. Great daily moisturizer since it has SPF30.
Though blemishes are still noticeable but glad that it already starts to fade. Will continue using this and will update you once I see results.
By the way, I got these Belo Intensive Whitening Micropeeling Toner and Face and Neck Cream products for FREE and you can also get yours for FREE only at Sample Room Ph. Check the link HERE to know more! Again, thank you Sample Room Ph! 😊
Lip tints will always be my go-to lip product of all time. I remembered being so obsessed with lip tints way back 2014 as it very easy to use, long lasting and has a natural finish.
Today's review will be about HSP's newest product which is their All Natural Lip and Cheek Tint.HSP or Herbal Soap Philippines is a brand/company that guarantees 100% all natural and organic products made in the Philippines. They’re also FDA approved. I've already tried some of their products like their All Natural Shampoo and Conditioner, Skin Lightening Soap,Anti-Bacterial Soap and Moisturizing Soap. For years, I've been fond of using BB Cream as my everyday makeup since I find it lightweight and easy to apply. It also gives you that Korean dewy skin or glow which is in trend right now. A few months ago, I came across a Korean brand, Alive:Lab which caters different skincare products and make up. Today, I will share with you a review about their BB cream.
Alive:Lab Cotton Candy Ink BB Cream is a natural long-lasting foundation that stays on your skin for along time thus naming it an Ink BB Cream. It claims to have the brightness a foundation of and moisture of a BB cream for that smooth and healthy skin. You can also mix some of their products like the Centella Dressing Powder (good for acne prone skin), Pocket Ball Cushion (for dark circles) or even their Multi Ice Cream (for moisture) depending on your skin type and needs.
It comes in a orange plastic tube. It's easy to use as you can control how the amount of product you use by squeezing. I believe it only has 1 shade only which is very light on my skin tone. There is a minimal fruity scent to it.
Volume is 40 ml and priced for 20,000 won or Php 966.94 or $18.73.
The consistency is very runny and has a semi matte finish. It has a light to medium coverage.
How to use: Since the shade is very light for me, I only use 2-3 pea size amount on my finger and dab it on my face. Though usually, I mix a darker foundation along with this one for that perfect shade. I use sponge for application.

For 1-2 months, I use this BB cream for my everyday makeup. I love it instantly brightens and lightens my skin. It has a light to medium coverage thus I only use minimal concealer for my blemishes. The packaging as it perfectly fit my kikay kit since it's easy to bring around. It is light weight and has a semi matte finish which is good for oily skin type like mine. After 3-4 hours, oil starts to build up on my T-zone and gives a dewy look. After my 8 hour shift, my t-zone area looks so oily and I had to use a tissue to wipe of the excess oil. I maximized the use of this BB cream in 14 hours and still looks okay in an air conditioned environment. Though with the heat now in the Philippines (Summer), I do suggest using a good primer for this one to make the product last longer. I tried using this when I went out and with the heat this Summer, I had to retouch after 4-5 hours. This may still last for up to 10-12 hours. Not bad though. One of the downside is the price point which is a bit expensive for me given the amount. Also, the shade is TOO LIGHT for my complexion. At times, I either had to use a little product for my whole face or mix it with the darker foundation that I have. Hoping that they'll have darker shades or more shades to choose from.

Hello to the cutest skincare product I've ever tried! I remembered being so intrigued and curious when I first got my hands on the famous Alive:Lab Cotton Candy Ball. Also, this may not seem obvious but I do have A LOT of blackheads on my nose and honestly, I'm having a hard time to get rid of those. Heard that this product help to get rid of stubborn blackheads so I immediately tried it!
Alive:Lab's Cotton Candy Ball has been crafted with 100% pure cotton and pre-soaked with natural Mango extract, Glycolic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid to help exfoliate and cleanse away gunk, while leaving the skin beautifully hydrated. Exfoliates dead skin/manage dead skin as it replaces rough skin with smooth skin. it uses 100% cotton and doesn't irritate sensitive skin. It helps dissolve pesky black heads and slough off flaky skin in one easy, sweet swipe!
Key Ingredients:
*Glycolic Acid (black head cleansing) *Luffa Aegyptiaca Fruit (skin soothing
The packaging comes in this cutesy orange tub (45ml) with pre-soaked tiny light orange cotton balls. It is rolled in such a way you can get a more concentrated product. It also comes with a free tweezers to easily pick the cotton ball. By the way, the scent is sweet and fruity.
One tub is priced for 14,000 won or Php 677.16 or $13.11.
How to Use: Before applying makeup or after nightly cleansing, use the tweezers to gently wipe on your T-zone. This can be used 1-2 times per day. Since I find using 1 piece of cotton ball too much for my T-zone area, I separate 1 cotton ball into 3 for 3 uses of course. By doing this, I can maximize the use of the pre-soaked cotton balls. But please, wash your hands first before doing this to prevent contamination of the product. Not sure if you can use this everyday but I'm only using this 3-4 times a week. I use this immediately after cleansing my face as the first step of my night time skin care routine.
Result after a month of use:

After trying out the product for a month, I say that I TOTALLY LOVE this product! First, I love how refreshing it feels after using it on my face. It really exfoliates my skin and makes it soft and smooth. Honestly, I did't like exfoliating products since I feel that it leaves my sticky or at times, I produce more oil when I use one. But this one's EXCEPTIONAL. I love how it leaves my skin moisturized without stripping off the natural oils. Most of the times, I experienced pimple breakouts when I first use or try a product but Cotton Candy Ball compliments my skin so well and I didn't experienced any breakouts. It's very gentle on the skin especially for sensitive skin like me. No tingling sensation. And lastly, it helped lessen the appearance of my black heads in a month of use. It's still there but completely reduced now. Just wow. I'm currently using the product and now I can't leave without it. One tub is affordable and may go a long way depending on your use. Worth a try though!

Been seeing Wing Bites at Lilac St for a few weeks now and I'm so curious with their UNLIMITED WINGS! They are located at the small corner of the 2nd Floor of PaulMarcs Centre Bldg in Lilac St. Marikina (above the old Ersao).
We came there for a dinner on a weekday and no customers were around except us. They place can accommodate 15-20 pax inside and they have more seats outside. Please take note that they don't have utensils so you really have to use your hands to eat. No worries since they have plastic gloves available.
Here's their MENU:
We availed their Unlimited Wings + Rice for only Php 210. We got to try the Parmigiano which is one of their best sellers. It was tasty and has a bit of sour taste to it. The Sweet Sriracha is a mix of sweet a bit of spicy one. We also got to try the Classic Buffalo which is very spicy for my taste and the Teriyaki which has a sweet taste. Their chicken were crunchy and fried well.
The only downside is that they served us a chicken with "hair" along with it. (If you know what I mean and how come?!). I think they should double or triple check before they serve. And I can't even figure out how that hair went into our chicken!?
The taste were average for me though I like that it's an UNLIMITED chicken wings at an affordable price. Though I was only able to finish up to 2 servings along with rice.
